Burdekin local, Libby Zollner has been appointed Branch Manager of one of our highest performing branches in the state.
With a successful career spanning over 21 years with the bank, Ms Zollner says she is excited to embark on this exciting new stage of her career in a leadership role at the Aitkenvale branch in Townsville.
“The Aitkenvale team are fantastic and I hope to help build on the great network they have created,” says Ms Zollner.
“Providing Members with high levels of service that covers all aspects of their financial needs has always been a passion of mine, and the potential to have a direct impact on this was what drove me to apply for the position.”
After completing work experience at our branch in Ayr in 1999, Ms Zollner successfully obtained the role of Member Service Officer, which she says provided her with a great foundation for her career.
“The role provided me with a great understanding of all Member facing interactions and was pivotal in laying the foundation for the rest of my career at Queensland Country Bank,” she says.
“Growing up in a small town like Home Hill certainly helps you to appreciate the importance of community, which is why I personally resonate with the community values Queensland Country Bank embodies.
“When I started at the Bank, I was still becoming an adult and I suppose you could say I grew up with the company because they have been with me through every significant life event.”
In her new position as Branch Manager, Ms Zollner hopes to draw on the experience she has gained working in different departments within the organisation and continue to grow the Bank's strong community presence while helping Members achieve their financial goals.
“More recently I have been working in the Credit Department and I have developed some invaluable skills that will continue to assist me in my future role,” she says.
“I have met some wonderful Members over the years and there is something special about watching them experience life’s milestone moments, like purchasing their first home or car, that I really can’t put into words.”
“I am excited to see what myself, the team and the organisation can achieve over the next couple of decades.”
Our Chief Executive Officer, Aaron Newman, says he and the Aitkenvale team are overjoyed to be welcoming Ms Zollner into her new position.
“This is a meaningful milestone for Libby, and we are very pleased to be welcoming her into her new position as Branch Manager for our flagship branch,” says Mr Newman.
“As a member-owned Bank that puts people ahead of profits, we take great pride in being able to provide our staff in regional Queensland with opportunities for career advancement to continuously tap into their potential.
“Their depth of knowledge and experience enables us to continue to offer our Members the highest level of service to assist them to reach their financial goals.”
Libby’s story is just one of many that remind us of our unique culture here at Queensland Country and how this enables us to not only put people first, but be genuine and bring our best for our Members and the communities we live in.
