Our values are what connects us, fosters unity and is the basis for what we do and why. Living by these values guides us to make the best decisions for our Members, build long-lasting relationships with each other and do the right things by our Members and our local communities.
At Queensland Country we value four simple things:
- Be genuine
- Bring your best
- Embrace change
- Put people first
Be genuine
We’re not just another bank. We take great pride in being genuine about everything we do. For us, “country” is about more than just geography, it’s a state of mind. Taking an honest, friendly and up-front approach to helping our Members achieve their financial goals is what matters to us. Our care and concern for our Members extends beyond a marketing slogan - it’s embedded throughout our entire organisation.
Bring your best
It’s no secret that the key to delivering our genuine banking experiences that set us apart from the rest, is our staff. They’re an inspired bunch that are motivated to bring their best to work every day to ensure you, our Members, receive the levels of service you both expect and deserve. We invest in our people through training and professional development activities based on a knowledge that, by helping them be the best they can be, they’ll be able to deliver you a memorable banking experience. Embrace change
Change is not just a part of the journey; it's the journey itself. At Queensland Country, we understand that embracing change is essential for growth and progress. As we constantly evolve to meet the needs of our Members and communities, we believe that change is an opportunity to achieve greater things.
Put people first
Our values are shamelessly focussed on ‘people’ and our ‘Members’, but that’s because you are truly at the core of what we do and why we do it. We’re fully committed to helping all Queenslanders live better lives through better finances. But our commitment to putting people first doesn’t stop with our staff and Members. We’re also committed to supporting the communities in which we live. Our commitment to give back to the communities that support us is threaded into the fabric of our organisation and we demonstrate this in a range of different ways including:
Queensland Country Good for Good Community Grants
Supporting community projects that have a positive overall impact on our communities is super important to us. Our program has been designed with a number of focus areas to encourage applications for projects that enable people to participate, experience, grow, learn, reach out, connect, make a difference and promote safety. Major community sponsorships
We have a strong commitment to sponsoring the local teams and events that matter to our Members and their communities. In line with the passion that many Queenslanders hold for rugby league, we are proud to be the Official Banking Partner of the North Queensland Cowboys rugby league team as well as other major events. Community Partnership Program
Our Community Partnership Fundraising Program rewards participating community groups when their supporters choose to use Queensland Country for their Banking needs. Find out more.
Community Volunteer Program
Like the organisation, our staff are committed to their local communities and enjoy giving their time to assist worthwhile causes wherever possible. To help them achieve this goal, we provide two days per year paid community leave to all staff. Find out more.
Our Charity Partner
Ronald McDonald House Charities North Australia Chapter is our official charity partner. This wonderful organisation provides a home away from home to the families of seriously ill children in their time of need. Our support of Ronald McDonald House extends to provide further support through our Queensland Country Good for Good Community Grants Program, as well as staff fundraising activities and house events such as Feast with Friends.
In Times of Need
When disasters strike our communities, we are quick to react and offer support to help them back on their feet. We’re able to offer our Members support in a number of ways that help ease the financial pressures that follow major disasters. Take a look at how our team and insurance partner CGU Insurance provided quick aid to the Kingstons during a traumatic time.
