North Queensland Toyota Cowboys
With a partnership spanning almost 30 years we are proud to support the North Queensland Cowboys.
The partnership has been celebrated with a series of exciting initiatives over the past 3 decades and we are proud of The Cowboys strong community focus throughout Queensland, especially in regional areas. The growth of Cowboys House in Townsville to include girls and boys from remote areas.
With The Cowboys new home ground at Queensland Country Bank Stadium fans and Members can enjoy first class footy and a world-class stadium.
Brisbane Heat
Queensland Country Bank is proud to be the Principal Partner of the Brisbane Heat. Driven by a deep-rooted passion for community enrichment, this exciting new partnership is set to ignite a sense of shared values across the state, for our two Queensland organisations that emphasise putting people first and supporting grassroots connections in communities.
CQUniversity Cairns Taipans
Queensland Country is proud to be the Official Banking Partner of the Cairns Taipans. The Taipans are an NBL Team founded in 1999, and the only national sports team located in Cairns. The Australian NBL recently expanded to 10 teams and secured its biggest broadcast deal in competition history: a $20 million ESPN agreement with the Foxtel Group and News Corp Australia. Taipans matches are streamed live on Kayo with Channel 10 Peach hosting two live NBL games per week from 1-5pm on Sunday. The Taipans are also the only club that boast an Indigenous Program, with TIP (Taipans Indigenous Program) regularly servicing remote areas of Queensland and using basketball as a vehicle to promote healthy lifestyles and education.
Mackay Cutters
Mackay Cutters started in 1918 and now boasts teams in several major competitions in both mens' and womens' divisions. As a community-based club, community engagement through academy and junior development programs is paramount, enabling and encouraging the next generation of stars with a pathway from the Cutters to the Cowboys.
Queensland Country is a proud supporter of this club, sponsoring the Cutters Academy, Mackay Cutters Little League and Cutters Care – in school program.
Queensland Garden Expo
Queensland Country is proud to be the presenting partner for the Queensland Garden Expo. At the Queensland Garden Expo there truly is something for everyone. Whether you are an experienced gardener or just starting out you will be sure to find something to transform your green space
Mount Isa Mines Rodeo
The Mount Isa Mines Rodeo is the largest rodeo in the Southern Hemisphere and was founded in 1959 with a vision to put the new, remote town of Mount Isa on the map. Today Mount Isa is proudly the “Rodeo Capital of Australia”.
To date the ‘Isa Rodeo’, as it affectionately known, has directly given in excess of $4.6 million to charities in Mount Isa. On top of that, the rodeo provides fundraising for local schools, clubs, community services and non-profit organisations. With the introduction of the Indigenous Rodeo Championships and Mt Isa celebrating it’s 100th year the Isa Rodeo officially became a Festival with a world-class line up of entertainers and events.
Queensland Country is a Major Partner of the Rodeo transforms our local branch into scene from the outback in support of the event.
Magnetic Island Race Week
The laid back lifestyle of Magnetic Island comes alive in September with Magnetic Island Race Week with five days of sailing, seven days of fun. This event caters to both the competitive and social sailor and involves the entire community in an action packed program of events.
Mackay Winter Netball Carnival
Queensland Country are proud to be the naming rights partner for the Mackay Winter Netball Carnival. More than 100 teams from Mackay, Moranbah, Proserpine and Rockhampton head to Mackay in June for the winter Netball Carnival which boasts a mixed competition as well as the traditional 7-a-side female competition for juniors and seniors.
Home Hill Harvest Festival
Queensland Country are the proud naming rights partner for The Home Hill Harvest Festival, a community event celebrating the rich agricultural history of the Burdekin region. With its famous street parade, entertainment and fundraising, this event provides an array of fun, activities and experiences for all.
Weipa Fishing Classic
Most fishing enthusiasts will have heard of the Weipa Fishing Classic. With over 2000 entries this event is one not to be missed in the Cape York region. The event takes place in June and is proud to be a family-friendly event with music, entertainment and prize giveaways in addition to the three-day fishing competition.
Charters Towers Country Music Festival
Running since 1978, the festival has been at the heart of the Charters Towers community for several generations of country and folk music lovers. Boasting a full program of local, national and international acts the weekend is a music lover's dream at the historic showgrounds. A street-parade kicks off the event with shops encouraged to dress up. It’s no surprise that Queensland Country Bank has won best-dressed shop a number of times.
Central Queensland University Scholarship
We partnered with CQUni to create a scholarship which is available to second year students who are engaged in either full-time or part-time study needing financial support.
We are proud of this scholarship which enables students to continue their studies whilst working towards a profession which will benefit the community in which they live.
UQ AFL
The University of Queensland ‘Red Lions’ Australian Football Club (UQAFC) was founded in 1956 and since then has boasted a bunch of highly talented and successful teams and supported the journeys of several elite footballers into their careers as professional athletes. The club is made of past and current studies of the University of Queensland and plays in several men’s and women’s divisions in the greater Brisbane area.
